Samuel Gibson “Sam” Daniels

Samuel Gibson “Sam” Daniels, 69, of Johnson City, passed away Friday, October 30, 2015, at Johnson City Medical Center after an extended illness.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Samuel and Mary Elliott Daniels.
Sam attended Elizabethton schools and was a graduate of East Tennessee State University. He served his country in the U.S. Army and the Naval Reserves. He was a former employee of the Elizabethton and Johnson City Police Departments and prior to his illness retired as a Captain of the Security System of the Johnson City Medical Center.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary E. Daniels.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Rebecca “Becky” Buck Daniels; a step-son, Eric (Christy) Kelly, Greeneville; and his two best furry friends, Mollie and Roxie.
