James Matthew “Dee” Haynes

James Matthew “Dee” Haynes, 38, of Roan Mountain, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015, at his residence from complications of diabetes.
Dee was a 1995 graduate of Cloudland High School. Prior to his illness he was a Youth Services Officer with the State of Tennessee. He was an avid Cloudland High School and East Tennessee State University football fan. He was a Christian.
Dee was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Haynes, and a brother, Mark Haynes.
Survivors include two sons, Asley and Dawson Haynes, both of Roan Mountain; his mother, Earline Morgan Haynes; a sister, Missy Boone, Maggie Valley, N.C.; his longtime love, Holly Deloach; the mother of his sons, Candi English; and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services for James Matthew “Dee” Haynes will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, at Burbank Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy English officiating. Music will be provided by Reel Steel. Graveside services and interment will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, in the Johnson-Roan View Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Cloudland High School and East Tennessee State University Football Teams. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Dr. Martin Tran, Jan Tillman, Amedisys Hospice, members of Burbank Free Will Baptist Church and Randy and Gail English.
