Willie Jean McKinney Baughman

Willie Jean McKinney Baughman, 81, of Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at her residence after a brief illness.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Will and Stella Shell McKinney.
Mrs. Baughman attended Cloudland High School. She was associated with her husband in the founding of Baughman Manufacturing Company. She was a Jehovah Witness and a member of the Elizabethton Congregation.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Richard M. Baughman, who died June 16, 2014, and also by nine sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Kent Smith, Johnson City; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard D. and Linda Baughman, Johnson City; four grandchildren, James Smith, Wesley Baughman, Rikki Baughman and Alex Baughman; a great-grandson, Adrian Baughman; several nieces and nephews; and also her beloved dog, Cricket.
Funeral services for Willie Jean McKinney Baughman will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, November 20, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Elder Ronald Weiss officiating. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Alex Baughman, James Smith, Wesley Baughman, Stewart Hale, Randy Carver and Danny Walker. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Baughman Manufacturing Company. The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. Friday, prior to the service. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Dr. Ron Blackmore, the staff of Amedisys Hospice and her niece, Emma Dean Hale. Friends may also visit with the family at her residence.
