Line your windows with tinsel and your doors with bells, set out your Santas and decorate your rails.
Computer Pros is hosting a community-wide Best of the Holidays decorating contest to support Elizabethton/Carter County Boys and Girls Club.
“We want to be more festive as a community, but the biggest reason we are doing this is to benefit the Boys and Girls Club,” said Computer Pros Manager Brian Amason. “The club is doing a fantastic job under Ginny Wright’s leadership, and it’s a great organization that everybody can get on board with during the holidays.”
Businesses, individuals and organizations are welcome to enter by submitting a registration form and a $10 entry fee to the staff at Computer Pros or to the Chamber of Commerce by December 11. A registration form has been printed below this story so you can clip it out or forms are also available at Computer Pros, or via a link on Computer Pros’ Facebook page. All proceeds will go to the Elizabethton/Carter County Boys and Girls Club.
Decorations must be outside or visible from outside the store or home.
Contestants will be judged based on creativity and overall appearance, so don’t be afraid to unleash holiday spirit.
Judges will visit each site on December 18 to select winners, who have a chance of winning one of several great prizes including: First place – a 50-inch television; Second place – a $100 gift basket from Chick-Fil-A along with dinner for two at The Coffee Company and a $25 gift card to Laughing Kat Vapors, or Third place – a $25 gift certificate to Carter at Main, $25 to Vaughn’s Liquidations and $35 to Food City.
