Richard Donnelly Campbell

Richard Donnelly Campbell, 91, of Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015, at his residence.
A native of Washington County, he was a son of the late James Clyde and Valerie Lineville Donnelly. His beloved foster parents, H.N. and Delia Campbell, were deeply loved and appreciated by him more than words can express.
Mr. Campbell was a past member, deacon and Sunday School Superintendent of Calvary Baptist Church, President of the Industrial Management Club, member of the Optimist Club and Treasurer of the Band Booster Club. He worked at Bemberg Corporation for 33 years until it closed in 1977. He retired from Independent Life Insurance where he worked as sales specialist for 10 states.
Mr. Campbell was a member of Freedom Road Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Arnold Campbell; a daughter, Anne Campbell Davis and husband Ray, Ormond Beach, Fla.; and his grandchildren, Rick MacLean, St. Louis, Mo., and Dr. Brett L. MacLean, his wife Sheri and their four children, Dawson, Kenan, Silas and Haven of Mali, Africa.
Graveside services for Mr. Campbell will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 5, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Steve Davis officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Saturday to go to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Campbell to the Freedom Road Baptist Church, 708 West C Street, Elizabethton, TN 37643 or First Church of God, 609 N. Lynn Avenue, Elizabethton, TN 37643 or to the ministry of Dr. Brett MacLean in Mali, Africa (Global Partners in Hope, 1441 DuPont Ct. #101, Omaha, NE 68144).
