Georgia Belle Whitson, 58, of Elizabethton, passed away Friday, December 4, 2015, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
Georgia was a native of Carter County. She was a homemaker and attended Old Horseshoe Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Mike.
Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Robert Whitson; her daughters, Nickie Winters, Melinda Hyder and Ronda Bowers; her son, Bobby Winters; her mother, Betty Hurley; her step-sons, Joey Whitson and Robert Hicks; her grandchildren, Autumn, Zack, Kyla, Charlie and Emily; two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Reagan; her step-grandchildren, Austin, Jacob, Taylor and Brook; her friend, Ron Kagmore; a sister, Janet Harrison; and her brothers, Jason, Tony and Gary Wayne.
Graveside services for Mrs. Whitson will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 9, in the Lyons Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
