Brenda F. Bishop Cable

Brenda F. Bishop Cable passed away peacefully on December 13, 2015, at Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness.
She was a graduate of Elizabethton High School, Class of 1959, a 40-year Raytheon retiree, a member of First Baptist Church, Elizabethton, for 55 years, and a member of the Messenger Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Bishop Smith; father, Ray Bishop; step-father, Beryl Smith; sister, Betty Griffette, and her husband, Henry Griffette; sister-in-law, Joann Cable; brother-in-law, Wayne Cable; mother-in-law, Pansy Wyatt Cable; and father-in-law, Robert Cable Sr.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Bob Cable; sister, Drucilla Smith; brother-in-law, Charles Cable; nieces, Tracy, Bellah, Chloe, Ava and Sadie Kellerman, all of Elizabethton, Samantha Pickle, Atlanta; nephews, Gabriel Treadway, Elizabethton, Ed Pickle, Atlanta, Greg Griffette of Maryland, Keith Cable, Jacksonville, Fla., Jimmy Honeycut, Elizabethton, Wayne Honeycutt, Elizabethton; several other nieces and nephews also survive; and special friend, Carmen Buckles.
Friends will be received Wednesday, December 16, 2015, from 1-2 p.m. in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park with service to follow with Pastor Ken Bewley officiating. Music will be under the direction of Scott Reynolds. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, c/o Johnson City Medical Center.
