Ronald Dale Self, 61, of Elizabethton, passed away Friday, December 18, 2015, at his residence after an extended illness.
A native of Fairfax, Va, he was a son of the late Elbert and Virginia Louise Cochran Self. He had lived in Tennessee for the past 26 years.
Mr. Self was a retired carpenter. He served in the United States Navy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Roxanne Self.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Sheryl Elaine Self; two children, Staci Manning and husband Marc, of the home, and Brian Self and wife Brittany, Jacksonville, N.C.; four grandchildren, Ciara, Hailey, Dylan and Ava; and three brothers, Steve Self and wife Phyllis, Redding, Calif., Gary Self and Mike Self, both of Little Rock, Ark.
