David E. Dula II

David E. Dula II, 40, of Elizabethton, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at his residence. David was born on April 21, 1975 to the late Margaret Joan Frye Dula and David Eugene Dula, of Hampton. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Mary Blevins and Bertha McClellan; his great-grandmother, Sadie Dula; and a step-brother, Michael Sims.
David had worked as a federal security guard and was a United States Marines veteran, having served in Operation Desert Storm. He had a love of firearms and the outdoors.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Lisa Shaver Dula, of the home; his father and step-mother, David E. Dula and Barbara, of Hampton; his daughter, Megan Dula, of Elizabethton; three sons, David Dula III, John Dula and Zachary Dula, all of Elizabethton; two sisters, Tonja Dula, of Elizabethton, and Tammy Ellison, of Hampton; one nephew, Aaron Garcia, of Elizabethton; one great-nephew, Noland Brockway, of Elizabethton; and two nieces, Ashley Arroyo, of Johnson City, and Katie Ellison, of Hampton. Also surviving are his friends, the Shaver family members and the Dula family members.
