Wilma Jean Perry

Wilma Jean Perry, 84, of Bluff City, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, from the Johnson City Medical Center. Jean was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Fred and Stavannah Stout Sams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jack Perry, in 2001, and a son, Mark Perry, in 1975.
June was a homemaker and a member of Borderview Christian Church in Elizabethton.
Those left to cherish her memory include four sons, Tim Perry, of Louisville, Ky., Anthony Perry and Logan Perry, both of the home, and Johnathan Perry, of Jonesborough; one daughter, Jill Perry, of Kingsport; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Bob Sams, of Elizabethton, and Jack Sams, of Memphis.
A service to honor the life of Mrs. Wilma Jean Perry will be conducted at 5 p.m. Saturday, January 2, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. Scott Fisher, minister, officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 3:30 until 5 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service. The graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 3, in the Jones Cemetery, Big Arm Road, Bluff City. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, at 12:15 p.m. Sunday to go in procession.
