Euvada Ina Peters, 90, of Concord, N.C., formerly of Elizabethton, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016, in the Carolinas Medical Center North East, Concord, N.C.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Alfred M. and Mae Shankles Peters.
Euvada loved to cook, work in her flowers and loved to read. Euvada was a Charter Member and the oldest member of Carter Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Durward and Lucy Peters, and two sisters, Edith and Marjorie Peters.
Survivors include her special niece, with whom she made her home, Jill Peters Croley and husband Dr. Giltz Croley and their two children, Mason and Mallory; two nephews, Frank Peters and wife Angie and their children, Jason, Lance and Luke, and Michael Peters and his children, Meredith, Weston and Jordan; several cousins; and her special friend and neighbor, Lillian Carrier.
Funeral services for Euvada Ina Peters will be conducted at noon Thursday, January 21, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Darrell Cox, minister, officiating. Interment will follow in the Blevins Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be her church family.
