Pet lovers are invited to show off their “hunka furry love” at an upcoming adoption event.
East Tennessee Spay and Neuter teamed up with the Elizabethton/Carter County Animal Shelter to create an event for people and pets to socialize and celebrate their love of furry friends.
The event will take place at Elizabethton Tractor Supply on February 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
ECCAS will bring animals for adoption and various vendors will be present as well. Pet items will be available along with Rada Cutlery, Fire in the Hole Pizza, T-shirts and baked goods.
Rebecca Marr, professional photographer, will make pet portraits for $5, and all proceeds will benefit the recently created BooBoo Fund.
The fund will help keep animals in Carter County healthy by providing wellness checks and other resources to low-income pet owners.
Vendor tables are available for $10, if interested, contact Michelle at 423-707-7831 to reserve a space. Volunteers are needed as well.
Other ways to support ETSN are by shopping online at etsy.com/shop/mountainstarwares or by signing up with Amazonsmile.com and choosing East Tennessee Spay and Neuter as your charity. A percentage of purchases at either site goes to ETSN at no cost to shoppers.
For more information, call ETSN at 423-289-5548 or ECCAS 423-547-6359.
