Betty Sue Simpson

Betty Sue Simpson, 69, of Hampton, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at her residence.
A native of Pelham, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Joe Brown Simpson Sr. and Christine Davis Simpson. She had lived in Carter County, Tenn., for the past 16 years.
Betty was a graduate of Pelham High School and was a licensed beautician. She was of the Pentecostal Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Luke Rusk; a brother, Douglas “Mac” Simpson; and a sister, Clara Brown.
Survivors include her love and caregiver, Jessie Bailey; a daughter, Angelia Neal, Albany, Ga.; three sons, Troy Simmons and wife Alma, Roy Simmons and wife Julie and Robbie Simmons and wife Melissa, all of Cairo, Ga.; a sister, Opal Corbin, Cairo, Ga.; a brother, Joe Simpson Jr., Cairo, Ga.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four very special people, Stuart, Bobbie and Logan Ingram and Sam Bailey.
Funeral services for Betty Sue Simpson will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 23, at Memorial Funeral Chapel, Elizabethton, Tenn., with the Rev. Brandon Young officiating. Music will be provided by the Rev. and Mrs. Brandon Young. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, Ga. Honorary pallbearers will be Warren Price, Chris Schuttler, Zane Church, Tommy Singleton, Kenny Cole and J.D. Smith.
