Raymond Tolley

Raymond Tolley, 88, of Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at Pine Ridge Care & Rehab Center.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Dave and Julie Hilman Tolley.
Raymond served in the United States Army during World War II. He was employed at North American Rayon Corporation for 32 years and retired from Kennametal.
Raymond was a member of Pleasant Beach Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Pauline Haldren Tolley; two sisters, Ruth Tolley and Ethel Hayes; and two brothers, Phillip Tolley and Zeke Tolley.
Survivors include a son, Adrian Raymond Tolley; his nephews, Billy Tolley, Johnson City, Dean Tolley and Douglas Tolley, both of Elizabethton, Zeke Tolley Jr., Hampton, and Jimmy Calfee, Hilton Head, S.C.; his nieces, Patsy Johnson, Elizabethton, and Aleta Williams, Danville, Va.; and his sister-in-law, Mary Tolley, Elizabethton.
Funeral services for Raymond Tolley will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 13, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mark Fowler officiating. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Gary Johnson, Wesley Johnson, Dean Tolley, Zeke Tolley Jr., Walt Slagle and Henry Williams. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Pine Ridge Care & Rehab Center, the staff and Dr. Jaishankar Oncology Office, Johnson City, and members of Pleasant Beach Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence of his niece, Patsy Johnson, 109 Chevy Lane, Elizabethton.
