Kathy Maxine Colbaugh, 64, a resident of Greeneville, Tenn., passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016, at Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kelsie and Cordie Shankles Colbaugh, and a brother, Randall Colbaugh.
Kathy is survived by her brother, Roger Colbaugh, and a close friend, Marketta Peters, both of Elizabethton. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
Roger would like to express a very special thank you to Dr. Ahmed and the caregivers of Greeneville, Tenn., and Dr. Lamb, the nursing staff of the 5200 floor of Johnson City Medical Center and to her special nurse,“Dusty,” for all the love and care shown to Kathy.
A graveside service for Kathy will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 18, in the Blevins Cemetery, Stoney Creek, with Rev. Ray Colbaugh and Rev. Willie Campbell officiating. Music will be under the direction of Ronnie Blevins. Honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Shankles, Waymon Carrier, Craig Campbell, Larry Estep, Shannon Burchett and Gale Colbaugh.
