While it was Trump and Sanders that won the hearts of voters in Carter County, it was Trump and Clinton that won the state primaries.

In Carter County’s First District, Dr. Robert Acuff defeated two challengers to garner the Republican nomination for a seat on the Carter County Commission to represent the district.
