Gate City….….6

Ken Hardin’s Lady Cyclones took it on the chin from the Lady Devils of Gate City who took a 6-0 final against the home standing Lady Cyclones.

Elizabethton punched only one hit in the contest as Maci West accounted for the base knock. The Lady Cyclones added a couple of walks plus a hit batsman but that was all ‘Betsy could muster.

Gate City broke the game open in the fourth as they would record four runs off starting pitcher Lauren Brickey (0-1) who absorbed the loss.

Kelli Cunningham relieved Brickey and the Lady Blue Devils collected a pair of runs off the reliever.

The Lady Cyclones (1-1) travel to Unicoi Co. for a 5 pm showdown today on Devil Diamond in Erwin.
