Andrea Beth Campbell

Andrea Beth Campbell, 58, of Hampton, had her home going on Saturday, March 19, 2016, from her earthly home. Andrea Beth was born December 6, 1957 to the late Jessie Willard “Bill” and Edith Maxine Johnson Campbell in Washington County.
Andrea Beth was a graduate of Hampton High School and was baptized at Union Baptist Church in Hampton. She was a longtime member of the Sycamore Chapter #163 Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 17, a life member of the Auxiliary DAV and a member of the East Tennessee State University Distinguished President Trust. Her passion was her love of horses.
She considered herself as an educator and worked both in the academic field as well as in industry. She started work at a very young age with Bank Shares and was hired by Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc. when she turned 18. She had also worked at ITT North, Lees-McRae College, Milligan College, North East State Community College, Walters State Community College, Oak Ridge X-10, Raytheon, East Tennessee State University and Clemson University.
It was her life’s goal to complete her PhD at Clemson University. In her lifelong education quest she had received her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Master’s Degree in Geography from East Tennessee State University. She received a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Clemson University. She had completed all but her dissertation towards her PhD in Human Centered Computing at Clemson University at the time of her passing.
She is survived by her life partner, Terry Wayne Lewis, Hampton; her sister, Pennye Darlene Campbell Cable, Johnson City; her nephew, William Martin “Marty” Cable (Crystal); and grandniece, Callie Cable.
Funeral services for Andrea Beth Campbell will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, at Memorial Funeral Chapel. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jerry Nave, Dr. Steve Stevenson, Dr. Peter Clark, Dr. Greg Kulczucki, Carl Martin and Dr. Shannon Bowling. An Eastern Star Memorial Service will be conducted following the funeral service by Sycamore Chapter #163 Order of Eastern Star. Interment will be at a later date at the Campbell Family Cemetery, Hampton. It was her wish to be cremated.
