June Campbell Estep, 85, of Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord, Sunday, March 27, 2016, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Harry Campbell Sr. and Florence Bowling Campbell.
Mrs. Estep was an employee of 7 Hour Laundry for several years. She was a member of East Fairview Free Will Baptist Church and the Messenger Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and working with crafts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Estep Jr., and a brother, Harry Campbell Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, David Estep; three children, Margaret (Robert) Luttrell, Judy Estep and Sandra Perkins, all of Elizabethton; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Carter, Norman (Linda) Markland, Lisa (Jason) Norris, Brandy (Chris) Higginbotham and Robby (Kristen) Luttrell; nine great-grandchildren, Bo Carter, Schaun Carter, Cassie Graybeal, Russell Carter, Brianna Markland, Seth Carter, Malachi Higginbotham, Abby Luttrell and Katie Luttrell; several nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Sandy Stevens and Ruthie Lovelace.
Funeral services for June Campbell Estep will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Norman Markland Jr. and Rev. Greg Largent officiating. Music will be provided by the men of Hunter Memorial Baptist Church. The graveside service and interment will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 31, in the Highland Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, will be Chris, Russell, Seth, Bo and Schaun Carter, Craig Ingram and John Kelley. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Hopson, Billy Brock, Conley Fenner, James Nave, Harry Carden, R.N. Estep, Jeff Hilton, Glen Nave, Charles Nave, Clarence Green and Danny Ray Estep. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to her special caregivers, Lorie Deadrick and Betsy Roper, Dr. Vivian Clark, Avalon Hospice and Matt at Health Home Care. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at her residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday to go to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website at www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
