Billy Eugene Clark Sr., 76, of Limestone, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016, at Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Greer, S.C., he was a son of the late Charlie Monroe and Nanny Elizabeth Buchanan Clark.
Mr. Clark had lived in Virginia for a number of years before returning to Johnson City three years ago. He was a retired truck driver and was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Eugene Clark, Limestone, and Danny Ray Clark, Chuckey; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his special friend and caregiver, Juanita Clark; three brothers, Wayne (Stella) Buchanan, Hampton, Carl (Jane) Clark and Mike Clark, all of Elizabethton; and three sisters, Daisy Harrison, Thomasville, N.C., Nora Lee Hill, Bakersville, N.C., and Frances (Roy) McKinney, Hampton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Billy Eugene Clark Sr. will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dale Blevins officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at noon Wednesday, April 6, in the Tolley-Cornett Cemetery (Fairview Section), Hampton. Active pallbearers will be granddaughters and grandsons. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday to go to the cemetery.
