Danny Ralph Williams, 63, of Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center following an extended illness.
Danny was a native of Carter County. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a retired welder. He loved horses, fishing and hunting.
Danny was a member of Hunter Memorial Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Williams, April 14, 2012.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Ann Johnson, Elizabethton; a grandson, Alex Yates; his mother, Ruth Rainbolt Williams, Ivy Hall Nursing Home, and Elizabethton; his special companion, Jada Peters and her granddaughter, Paige Storie; three sisters, Patricia (John) Hartley and Lynn (Steve) Trivette, all of Elizabethton, and Traci (Lance) McClure, Alta Vista, Va.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Danny Ralph Williams will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Doug Hartley officiating. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
