Robert A. Davidson (born in Elizabethton, Tenn.) of Brentwood, died April 6, 2016.
He was the beloved husband of the late Joan; devoted father of Linda Macauley (Stephen), William J. Davidson, Barbara Milton (James), Joseph (Nancy) and the late Robert A. Jr. and Kevin M. Davidson; loving brother of Sidney Davidson (Linda) of Tennessee; cherished grandfather of Robert, Dina, Crystal, Donna, Justin, Jimmy, J.J., Katie, William and the late Nicholas; and great-grandfather of eight.
Mr. Davidson is reposing at the Michael J. Grant Funeral Homes, Inc., 571 Suffolk Ave., Brentwood. Religious services will be held Sunday evening and farewells at 10 a.m. Committal services will be held at Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale. The family will receive friends to celebrate Bob’s life on Sunday from 2 until 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Family suggests memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
