Helen V. Krug

GREAT BEND, Kansas — Helen V. Krug, 96, died Sunday, April 3, 2016, at Great Bend Regional Hospital, Great Bend, Kansas.

She was born July 26, 1919 at Otis, Kansas, and was a daughter of David E. and Mollie (Schneider) Brack.
She married Edward Krug on October 7, 1940 at Hoisington, Kansas. He died May 19, 1990.
Mrs. Krug owned and operated Cinderella Shoppe, Newton Drive-In, The Chicken House and E & E Glass. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by one son, Gerald Krug, and two brothers, Clarence V. Brack and Ervin Brack.
Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Lowry and her husband Duane of Elizabethton, Tenn.; a daughter-in-law, Marlies Krug of Great Bend, Kansas; four grandchildren, Eric Krug, Kevin Lowry, Kregg Lowry and Kayla Wright; and five great-grandchildren, Braxton Lowry, Mason Wright, Colin Wright, Evan Wright and Elizabeth Krug.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 8, at 2 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Monson officiating. Interment was in the Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kansas. Visitation was held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at Bryant Funeral Home. A luncheon was held at Trinity Lutheran Church preceding the service. Memorial Fund: Trinity Lutheran Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
