Vivian Grace Arnold Grindstaff

Vivian Grace Arnold Grindstaff, 90, of Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home following an extended illness.
A native of Johnson County, she was a daughter of the late Lawton and Nannie Wagner Arnold. She had lived most of her life in Carter County.
Vivian was a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. Post 2166 and Sycamore Chapter #163 Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church, Butler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Grindstaff, who died November 30, 1990; one sister, Beatrice Little; and two brothers, Marshall and Leo Arnold.
Survivors include three sisters, Coleen Perkins, Johnson City, Elaine (Jerry) Powers, Bristol, Va., and Louise (Lynn) Rash, Elizabethton; one brother, R.V. (Phyllis) Arnold, Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Vivian Grace Arnold Grindstaff will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Perkins officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, at Roselawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Taylor, Troy Perkins, Steve Perkins, Lynn Rash, Darrell Wagner, Roger Richardson, Verlin White and W.A. Clemons. Honorary pallbearer will be Jerry Powers. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. An Eastern Star Memorial Service will be conducted by Sycamore Chapter #163 Order of Eastern Star following the funeral service.
