Patricia “Pat” Ann Emmons Chambers

Patricia “Pat” Ann Emmons Chambers, 77, of Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord and family on Monday, April 11, 2016, from Sycamore Shoals Hospital, following an extended illness. Pat was born in Coral Ridge, Ky., to the late Guy W. Emmons II and Alda Greisinger Emmons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Chambers Sr., and one brother, Bob Emmons.
Pat was a 1956 graduate of Southern High School in Louisville, Ky. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church. Pat was very creative and enjoyed making crafts, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, James R. Chambers Jr. and wife Marjorie and Philip David Chambers and wife Robin, all of Elizabethton; two daughters, Joyce Karen Son and husband Timothy, of Louisville, Ky., and Patrice Darlene Moore, of Elizabethton; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Guy W. Emmons III, of Ohio. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Ann Emmons Chambers will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 14, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton with Pastor Travis Tyler officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service. The graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
