Jennifer Nichole Davis, 36, of Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016, at Bristol Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.
Jennifer was born December 3, 1979 in Elizabethton. She was a graduate of Elizabethton High School, where she served on the Cyclone Ladies Softball & Basketball Teams. She was a member of Siam Baptist Church, where in earlier years she was involved with the youth group of the church.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Billy Joe and Bernice Asher and Gleason Malone; one uncle, Gleason Malone Jr.; and a cousin, Jason Asher.
Survivors include her children, Kenedy and Trenedy Bacon, both of Waco, Texas, and Nathan Davis, Ocala, Fla.; her very special friend, Chris Fenner; her mother, Rachel Bunten-Miller and husband Earl, Watauga; her father, Ronnie Caldwell and wife Judybug, Elizabethton; four sisters, Bridget Simpson, Jacqueline Caldwell, Windy and Heather Bunten; her grandparents, Iva Lee Malone, Virginia “Ma” Couch and Elmer Blackburn; several nieces and nephews; and also survived by a husband, Reece Davis.
Funeral services for Jennifer Nichole Davis will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Wilson and the Rev. Jack Roddy officiating. Music will be provided by Brian Wilson. Graveside services and interment will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, in the Garland Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Citizens Bank Softball Team, the Carter County American All-Stars Softball Team and the 1998 Elizabethton Basketball Team. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the home of either parent. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday to go to the cemetery.
