Jeffrey A. Holtsclaw, 54, of Elizabethton, passed to his Heavenly home, Monday, May 9, 2016, after a two-year battle with cancer.
Jeff was a native of Carter County. He was a construction worker and was an avid outdoorsman and especially loved deer hunting with his bow.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Edwin D. Holtsclaw; his paternal grandparents, William and Emma Holtsclaw; his maternal grandparents, Ken and Ressie Lewis; four uncles, Bill Holtsclaw, Bob, Pat and Kyle Lewis; and a brother-in-law, Bill Austin.
He is survived by his devoted daughter, Brooke Holtsclaw; his mother, Sandra Isakson; a sister, Angela Austin; and two nieces, Allison and Andrea Austin. Several uncles, aunts and extended family members also survive.
Funeral services for Jeffrey A. Holtsclaw will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, May 16, at Memorial Funeral Chapel. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, in the Lewis Family Cemetery, Hampton. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, will be Glenn Campbell, Josh Whitehead, Ronnie Teglas, Ray Pierce, Rick Mahala and Victor Causby. The family would like to express their gratitude to Amedisys Hospice for their compassionate care of our loved one. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
