Erin Theresa Berwick Kelly, 32, beloved, daughter, sister, fiancée, and mother, concluded her battle with Amyloidosis A on May 27, 2016 at home. Daughter of Joan Berwick and husband Joseph Nickle of Millington, Md., and Thomas and Laura Kelly of Elizabethton, Tenn., Erin was born March 18, 1984 in Easton, Md.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her fiancé Daniel Joseph Hickman; six-year-old son Quentin Kelly Hickman of Chestertown; her sister, Grace Kelly Wright (Jamil), nephews, Isaiah Hackett and Cade Wright, of Millington; maternal grandmother, Joan Berwick (Elkton); uncles and aunts, Bill (Baltimore), James (Warrington, Pa.), Kathie (Elkton), Eileen (North East), Barbara and Karen (Othman) (Newark, Del.), and numerous extended family.
On her paternal side she is survived by her grandmother Grace Tonge Kelly, aunt Kathleen Edwards (Curtis), cousin Emily Edwards, uncle Pat Kelly, all of Enterprise, Ala., as well as her uncle Rob Kelly (Mary) of Marshall, N.C.
Erin was a 2002 graduate of Queen Anne’s County High School and attended Chesapeake College and Towson University. Lovingly known as ‘Teesa’, she was an aficionado of movies and history; loved reading, cooking, shopping, intelligent as well as random conversations with strangers who soon became friends, and making memories with her friends and family.
A celebration of Erin’s life will be held Sunday, June 5, at 1 p.m. at 8221 Broad Neck Road, Chestertown, MD 21651. Guests are urged to wear casual attire. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Compass Regional Hospice, Centreville, MD 21617 or the Humane Society of Kent County, MD 21620.
