Annie Laurie Dykes Caston, 80, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 23, 2016, from Roan Highlands Nursing Center. Annie was born in Natchez, Miss., to the late Thomas E. and Alma Stone Dykes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Payne Caston, in 2013; three brothers, Rayford Dykes, Thomas Dykes and Bobby Dykes; and one sister, Janie Williamson.
Annie retired from Bell South, where she had worked in the business office. She was of the Baptist faith.
Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Patti Thompson, Bluff City; three sons, Larry Caston and wife Patti, Gray, Tenn., Gary Caston and wife Beverly, Vidalia, La., and Kim Caston, Buffalo, Mo.; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Mrs. Annie Laurie Dykes Caston will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 26, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Evangelist Brad Farmer officiating. Music will be provided by Michael Caston. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 1 until 2 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service.
