Bobbi M. Harmon, 55, of Hampton, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Johnson City Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born December 15, 1960 in Carter County.
Bobbi was a 1979 graduate of Hampton High School. She was a member of Union Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Ray Harmon, October 25, 1960, and her step-father, Billy Jack Berry.
Survivors include her mother, Cordia “Tootsie” Hazelwood Berry; two brothers, Ray Harmon and wife Becky and Mark Berry and wife Terri; three nephews, Cole, Adam and Billy; two nieces, Caley and Taylor; two aunts, Polly Grindstaff and husband David and Betty Estep; a very special cousin and friend, Kathy Grindstaff; one uncle, Billy Harmon and son Joe of Ohio; and her faithful companion, “Scrappy.”
Graveside services for Bobbie M. Harmon will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, in the Grindstaff Family Cemetery, 192 C Grindstaff Road, Elizabethton, with the Rev. Dennis Wilson officiating. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, will be nephews and cousins, Cole, Adam, Billy, David, Fred, Mike and Carl Lee. Friends may also visit with the family at the home of her mother, Cordia “Tootsie” Berry, 113 Oscar Johnson Road, Hampton. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to her many friends and neighbors for their kind deeds shown to the family during her illness. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Bobbi to the Carter County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 134, Elizabethton, TN 37644.
