Ronald Lawrence Jack, 73, of Elizabethton, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Hillview Health Center. He was a son of the late Melvin Leroy and Helen Ruth Bradley Jack and was born in Piney Flats. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Charlotte Ruth Jack, in 1936.
Mr. Jack was a member of Southside Christian Church and a member of the Jaycees of Elizabethton. In addition to his interest in photography, he loved to read and study history.
Those left to cherish his memory include three brothers, Charles Gordon Jack and his wife, Gay, Clinton, Okla., Melvin Leroy Jack Jr. and his wife, Janie, Elk Mills, and Kenneth Edward Jack and his wife, Tina, Bowie, Md., and his best friend, Patty Jack, Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Ronald Lawrence Jack will be conducted at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 30, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Mr. Mike Koruschak, minister, officiating. Music will be under the direction of No Name But His. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service. The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Travis Jack, Brian Jack, Billy Jack, Gary Simerly, Danny Simerly, Pat Hicks, David Dugger and Chris Guess. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Southside Christian Church. Those wishing to attend are invited to meet the family at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Friday. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Southside Christian Church Building Fund, 1610 Southside Road, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
