David C. “D.C.” Mink

David C. “D.C.” Mink, 91, formerly of West F. Street, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton.
A native of Johnson County, he was a son of the late David W. and Maggie Vaught Mink. He had lived in Elizabethton for several years.
David was employed as an appliance repairman at Free Service for several years. He later was self-employed and was also a farmer. He was a member of Locust Gap Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Mink; three sisters, Ethel Ledbetter, Lucy Milhan and Vada Lethcoe; and four brothers. Ralph, R.V., Kelly and John Mink.
Survivors include a step-son, James L. Miller and wife Linda, Hampton; a step-grandson, Jeffery Miller and wife Kellie, Elizabethton; a step-great-grandson, Colin Miller; a brother, Arley Mink, Mountain City; a sister, Ella Schipsi, Margate City, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews.
As per his request, he is to be cremated and no formal services are planned. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Life Care Center for the care David received during his stay there.
Memorial Funeral Chapel is serving the Mink family.
