Cindy Marie Carlock, 40, of Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at her residence.
Cindy was a native of Carter County and a 1994 graduate of Unaka High School. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and had been associated with Dr. Justin Digby for many years and also Mountain States Medical Group Surgical Center of Elizabethton.
Cindy was an active member of Lynn Valley Baptist Church. She was a devoted loving mother and aunt and was a caring and compassionate nurse who loved the Lord and her family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carla Jean Long, and her grandparents, Donald and Bernice Reece and Carl and Pansy Long.
Survivors include her daughter, Hannah Marie Carlock, of the home; her father and step-mother, Dwight and Debbie Reece, Elizabethton; her sister, Kristi Carr and husband Matt, Elizabethton; two very special nieces, Mattie and Kylie Carr; and also her very special aunts, uncles and cousins.
A service to celebrate the life of Cindy Carlock will be conducted at 9 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Wilson officiating. The graveside service and interment will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 25, in the Ensor Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Dwight Reece, Matt Carr, Dave Asher, Adam Asher, Carl Long, Andrew Long, Patrick Nave and Chris Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons and her church family of Lynn Valley Baptist Church and Dr. Justin Digby. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Monday to go to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website at www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
