Shonette Mardell Tolley

Shonette Mardell Tolley, 81, of Hampton, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 24, 2016. She was born January 19, 1935 in Akron, Ohio to Frank and Lillian Cutlip.
Shonette was a graduate of Hampton High School and was retired from the United States Postal Service. She was an active member of Rittertown Baptist Church where she had served as Minister of Music for many years.
Mrs. Tolley was preceded in death by her father, Frank Cutlip; her sister, Rannell Orefield; and her granddaughter, Amber Shaw Calhoun.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Herman Tolley; her mother, Lillian Cutlip; sons, Keith and Leon (Rebecca), and daughter, Patty; granddaughters, Tracy Guy (Jeff) and Tammy Jordan; grandsons, Mitchell, R.J. and Ezra; great-grandchildren, Lane and Timber Shaw, Jeffrey, River and Rudy Guy; brother, Charles Cutlip (JoAnn); and special friends, Garry Smith and Shirl Davis and Simon.
The family would like to offer a special Thank You to Mrs. Tolley’s Hospice nurses, Ivy, Ruby, Becky and Pam, and Dr. Chakraborty and his staff.
A service to honor the life of Shonette Tolley will be held on Wednesday, July 27, at Rittertown Baptist Church in Hampton with the Rev. Richard Stout officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. with the service following at 6 p.m. The graveside service and interment will be held immediately following the service at the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Keith Tolley, Leon Tolley, Lane Shaw, Timber Shaw, Garry Smith and Jeff Guy. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Cutlip, Albert Ellison, Louie Greene, Tom Little, Gene Orefield and Gary Trivett. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the cemetery mowing fund at Rittertown Baptist Church, 822 Rittertown Road, Hampton, TN 37658 or Cap the Gap (foster care services), P.O.
