Geraldine Waycaster Arnett, 69, of Morganton, N.C., passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at her residence after an extended illness. Born in Roan Mountain, Tenn., on December 17, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Paul Waycaster and Annie Markland Waycaster.
Mrs. Arnett is survived by her brother, Roy Waycaster, and sisters, Betty Epley and Linda Woodell.
In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Billy Jack Arnett; a brother, Jerry Lee Waycaster; and a sister, Pauline Jones.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. Saturday, July 30, at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at noon in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Charlie Crump officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
