Edna Street Hill

Mrs. Edna Street Hill, 85, of Roan Mountain, Tenn., passed away Friday, August 5, 2016, at Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Cain and Belle Whitehead Street.
Mrs. Hill was a homemaker and a member of Fork Mountain Freewill Baptist Church, Roan Mountain.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Cecil Hill; a daughter, Joann Hill; and two brothers, Jimmy Street and Lawrence Street.
Those left to cherish her memory include three sons, Ronnie Hill, Elizabethton, Randy Hill and Joe Hill, both of Roan Mountain; five grandchildren, Travis Hill, Megan Lane, Mindy Hill, Angie Shaffer, all of Elizabethton, and Michelle Hill, Bluff City; eight great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Arnold Street, Jack Street and Bill Street, all of Roan Mountain. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends at Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services, Elizabethton, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, August 8. The graveside service will follow the visitation in the Largent Cemetery, Roan Mountain, with Rev. Tyler Street officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of Ivy Hall Nursing Home for their loving care of their mother.
