Terry Miller, 61, of Roan Mountain, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 6, 2016, at his residence. Terry was born in Carter County on February 8, 1955 to the late Ples W. Miller and Vonnie M. McKinney Miller.
Terry had been employed as a paint and body repairman and was of the Christian faith. He loved gardening, riding his motorcycle, fishing and enjoyed taking his grandson fishing.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Misty Dawn Miller-Clawson and his son-in-law, Lucas Aaron Clawson of Roan Mountain; his sister, Gale Lowe and husband Jeff of Elizabethton; his brother, Larry Miller and wife Nancy of Hampton; two grandsons, Abel Ray Miller and Kamron Lucas Clawson, both of Roan Mountain; and a niece, Sherryn Hubbard and husband Glen and their son, Kyle Marion of Derry, N.H. Also surviving is his special friend, Jeff Guinn, and his Body Shop Buddies.
The graveside service for Terry Miller will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, August 13, in the Miller Cemetery on Sugar Hollow Road in Roan Mountain. A eulogy will be provided by Jeff Lowe. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be John Shell, Jeff Kelly, Dale Davis and Chris Scalf. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. Saturday, August 13, at the Rhododendron Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Roan Mountain, prior to the service.
