Virginia Dearl Malone, 72, of Elizabethton, passed away Monday, August 29, 2016, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late John Murray and Nettie Mae Jenkins Bowers.
Virginia was a homemaker. She was a member of Caldwell Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Frank Lee Malone.
Survivors include her children, Donald Ray Malone, of the home, and Kathy Ann Malone, Elizabethton; two grandchildren, Tosha Whitehead and Crystal Nicole Malone; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ray and Verl Bowers; and a sister, Edith Campbell.
Graveside services for Virginia Dearl Malone will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, in the Caldwell Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
