Nina “Faye” Nave, 73, of Hernando, Fla., died at home on Saturday, September 17, 2016, following a lengthy illness. Faye was born in Banner Elk, N.C., on November 17, 1942 to the late Clifton and Bertha (Heaton) Roark and moved to Florida in 1968 from Elizabethton, Tenn. She assisted her husband as bookkeeper for Glenn’s Underground Trenching Service and Hernando Bait & Tackle Shop. Prior to retirement, she was a store clerk for the Majic Market Convenience Store in Inverness. Faye enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers and plants around her residence. She was a member of Ft. Cooper Baptist Church in Inverness, Fla., where she attended for many years.
Left to mourn her loss is her husband of 54 years, Glenn Nave; one brother, Larry Roark of Roan Mountain, Tenn.; and four sisters, Jean Crain and Sandra Miller, both of Elizabethton, Tenn., Judy Heaton and Shirley Johnson, both of Roan Mountain, Tenn. Many loving nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor and celebrate the life of Mrs. Nina “Faye” Nave will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, September 23, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Marne Palmani officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, prior to the service. The graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 24, in the Emmert Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Kelly Crain, Curtis Miller, Shane Heaton, Kyle Heaton, Cameron Crain, Dylan Hill and Kenny Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Clifton, Steven Campbell, Logan Clifton, Taylor Clifton, Dawson Clifton and Kenny Clifton. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton at 9:15 a.m. Saturday to go in procession.
