Henry A. “Bud” Glover

Henry A. “Bud” Glover, 80, of Hampton, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016, at his residence following an extended illness. He was a native of Carter County.
Bud was a mechanic and construction worker. He was a lifetime member of the Hampton Fire Department and a member of the CERTS Committee and Storm Watchers. He attended Moores Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Ann Stout Glover; two daughters, Tina Edge and husband Duane, Lithia, Fla., and Jennifer Glover, Roan Mountain; three step-sons, Heath, Greg and Daniel Largent; grandchildren, Travis and Shawn Edge, Amanda, Chelsie and Hunter Largent and Chris Rainey; five great-grandchildren; one brother, John Edward Glover Sr., Hampton; two sisters, Nancy “Twettie” Stevens, Hampton, and Mary Ethel Demarco, Hopewell, Va.; several nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Kathy Hill and Travis Simerly.
A memorial service for Henry A. “Bud” Glover will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Greg Largent officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Hampton Fire Department and members of the Carter County Fireman’s Association. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Mountain States Hospice. It was his wish to be cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Bud to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-990.
