On September 10, 2016,  nine Carter County 4- H members competed at the 4-H Regional Forestry Contest as part of Fall Judging Day at the Tennessee Valley Fair in Knoxville, Tennessee. Carter County was well represented by two Senior High Teams and two Junior High Individual contestants.  Carter County 4-H Senior Team A placed first at the Regional Contest and will represent Carter County and East Tennessee at the 4-H State Forestry Competition on October 22, 2016 in Knoxville, Tennessee.  These students dedicated many hours of practice time to the event over the summer, and we are proud of their accomplishments.
