Ricki Lynn Markland, 62, of Elizabethton, passed away Monday, October 31, 2016, at Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Orville Clayton and Temperance Hyder Markland.
Ricki was a 1972 graduate of Happy Valley High School. He had been a Flooring Installer for Stacy’s Carpet for over 22 years. He was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Dugger, and three sisters, Jane Cable, Sandy Campbell and Sue Russell.
Survivors include his children, Jeff Markland and Amber Markland, both of Elizabethton, and Brian Markland, of the home; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Romney and Raymond Markland, both of Elizabethton; one sister, Goldie Lawson, Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Ricki Lynn Markland will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, November 4, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Matthew Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence of a son, Jeff Markland.
