Each year, the women of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church host a craft and bake sale as a way to raise money for their church.
This year’s sale will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, located at 510 W. C St.
“We make between $2,000 and $3,000 in a day,” said Lilo Duncan, a member of the St. Elizabeth Guild. “All of our the money goes to our church.”
The women in the guild work throughout the year on a variety of different craft projects making items for the sale. Each member brings her own skills and talents to the group — some craft items out of wood while others quilt, some crochet while others sew baby items.

“We meet every Tuesday through the year,” Duncan said. “We call it Craft Day Tuesday.”
The group has around 13 members who regularly attend and work on craft items.
“Everything in the sale is handmade,” Duncan said. “There are no manufactured items.”
This year’s sale — as with years in the past — features a variety of hand crafted items such as: quilts, clothing, aprons, home decor items, Christmas ornaments, toys, crochet and knit items, wreaths, and kitchen items.
“We also have a bake sale,” Duncan said. “We usually have cakes, pies, fudge, and brownies. This year we’re going to have egg rolls too.”
