George Franklin Martin II, 70, of Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Johnson County, N.C., he had lived in Tennessee for a number of years.
George was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. He had served in the United States Air Force and the United States Army.
George was retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. He loved to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Franklin Martin II.
Survivors include his children, Michael and Isaac Martin, both of the home, and George Franklin Martin III, Elizabethton; two grandchildren, Heather and Makala Martin, both of Hampton; his mother, Christine Lambert Martin; one sister, Judy Tucker; three brothers, Larry, Billy and Gary Martin; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:45 p.m. Monday, November 7, at Memorial Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 12:40 p.m. Monday, will be Tyler Whiston, Gary LeForge, Justin Whiston, Mike Dugger, Ricky Oliver and Gary Photo.
