Harold Lee Nave

Harold Lee Nave, 80, of Elizabethton, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Harold was a native of Elizabethton and the son of the late Coy E. and Minnie Little Nave.
Harold served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict in the 18th Engineer Core.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Pansy Taylor and Blanch Dolen, and one brother, Coy E. Nave Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Farris Orlean Whitehead Nave; two daughters, Melissa Richardson and husband Terry and Patti Whitson and husband Brad; two grandchildren, Rachel Richardson Laws and Nathaniel S. Whitson and wife Laura; two great-grandchildren, Brianna Faith Hoyle and Bryson Laws; and two sisters, Mary Nave and Vorita Hodge.
Funeral services for Harold Lee Nave will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 26, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Terry Richardson and the Rev. Sherrill Nave officiating and the Rev John Stevens officiating at the graveside. Music will be by the Pierce Chapel Choir. Active pallbearers, who are requested to be at the funeral home by 3 p.m. Saturday, will be Bill Hodge, Ned Smith, Joey Nave, Larry McKinney, Tip Smith, Dawayne Forbes, Jack Smith and Mike McKinney. Honorary pallbearers will be the men and women of Pearce Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, Jim and April Pitman and Lewis Honeycutt. A special “Thank You” to everyone at Pearce Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Military Honors will be provided by the Carter County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers it was Harold’s wish to help someone in need.
