Nellie Mae Tolley, 85, of Johnson City, passed away Monday, December 5, 2016, at Life Care Center of Gray.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Eli and Minnie Byrd Tolley.
Nellie was a homemaker. She was a member of Fairview Free Will Baptist Church, Hampton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Laura Bailey, and six brothers, Lloyd, Lawrence, George, Lewis, Robert and Roy Tolley.
Survivors include her brothers, Don Tolley and wife Ann, Johnson City, Ray Tolley, Hampton, and Blake Tolley, Unicoi. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Nellie Mae Tolley will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, December 9, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gary Whitehead officiating. Music will be provided by the Fairview Quartet. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, December 9, in the Fairview-Tolley Cemetery, Hampton. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and church friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
