William Daryl Stanton

William Daryl Stanton, 56, of Butler, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at his residence. A native of Carter County, Tenn., he was the son of Thelma Hatley Stanton, of the home, and the late James Joseph Stanton.
Mr. Stanton had worked as a laborer in a sawmill and had previously worked at Snap-on Tools. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Stanton, and a sister, Judy Kay Stanton.
Those left to cherish his memory, in addition to his mother, include four brothers, Vern and Sherry Stanton, Sugar Grove, N.C., Terry Lee Stanton, of the home, Michael and Myrna Stanton, Marion, N.C., and Dennis and Carol Stanton, Lenoir, N.C.; and a special aunt, Dean Garland. Several uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of William Daryl Stanton will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 10, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Charles Cable and Rev Toby Rainbolt officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday, prior to the funeral service, or at the residence of his mother at any time. Interment will follow the funeral service on Saturday in the Hatley Cemetery, Butler, Tenn. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
