James David Adkins, 47, of Elizabethton, passed away December 28, 2016. He was born June 3, 1969 in Lancaster County, Pa. He was the son of James Daniel Adkins of Wellford, S.C., and the late Wanda Brown Adkins.

He is survived by his father, James (J.D.) Adkins, sons, Jonathan Daniel Adkins and Mylan David Adkins, a daughter, Maranda Willoughby, and one grandson, Jackson Daniel Adkins, all of Landrum, S.C.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
