Beulah Smith Aldridge

Beulah Smith Aldridge, 84, of Hampton, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord, Monday, February 27, 2017, at her home.
She was born on March 21, 1932 in the Carden’s Bluff Community. Her parents were the late James Albert and Rhoda Nell Pierce Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Monty Earl Aldridge, following 55 years of marriage; a brother, Erby “Bud” Smith; sister, Gail Smith Hodges; brother and sister-in-law, Hoyt and Margaret Aldridge; and brothers-in-law, Richard Street, Jim Cable, Bob Pate and Clifford Smith.
Beulah was a 1950 graduate of Hampton High School and was employed by Empire, Gordon’s and Thomasville Furniture Companies.
Survivors include two sisters, Shirley Whitehead and husband Terry and Lula Belle Street; brothers, James Jerry “Tip” Smith and Jackie Paul and Edna Smith; brother-in-law, Russell Hodges; sisters-in-laws, Gereel Cable and Mayme Smith; brother-in-law, Garret and Regina Aldridge; nieces and nephews, Cheryl and Carl Harrison, Chris and Christy Hodges, Joe and Kristi Street, Jan and Greg Back, Deani and Ned Isaacs, Jill and Thomas Tester, Ned and Julie Smith, Josh and Sandra Smith, Taylor, Noah Laughter, April and Jim Pitman, Crystal and Joel Martin and Ellie Mae Martin, Scottie Hayes, Jimmy Aldridge, Timmy Aldridge, Michael Pate, Keith Pate, Bobbie Grindstaff, Anita Peters, Carol Roberts, Teresa Brinkley, Julie Strazay, Erin Brinkley, Benjamin Brinkley, Whitney Roberts and Adam Menyhay; and great-nieces and nephews, Kevin and Vanessa Harrison, Ben and Gracie Harrison, Jacob Street, Beth Hickman and Jude Hickman, Vanessa and Nicholas Kennedy, Landon and Weston Street, Lacy and Lauren Smith, Jackson, Hannan and Lane Smith, Olivia Tester, Wade and Neil Harrison and Kenzie and Emily Harrison.
A Celebration of Life for Beulah Smith Aldridge will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Shane Waters and the Rev. John Stevens officiating. The Eulogy will be given by her sister, Lula Belle Street. Music will be by April Pitman. Active pallbearers will be Chris Hodges, Joe Street, Ned Smith, Josh Smith, Kevin Harrison, Ben Harrison, Ned Isaacs and Carl Harrison. Honorary pallbearers are Bert Lunceford, Pat Hopson, George Smith and Dean Smith. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 2, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Friends may meet at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. to go to the cemetery.
