Norman Dayton Markland, 64, 1023 Bluefield Avenue, Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017, after an extended illness.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lundy Markland, and two sisters, Roma Markland and Gearlene Campbell.
He is survived by his mother, Evadean Markland; three sisters, Constance Scott, Jetonia Rash and Sharon Estep; two brothers, Roger Markland and Jerry Estep; two children, Reverend Norman Markland Jr. and Lisa Markland Graybeal; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his caregiver, Donna Ward, and his four-legged buddy, Bo, and his ex-wife, Joyce Estep.
It was his wish to help others with research of his diseased organs through Hospice – Restore program. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice and Smokey Mountain Medical Equipment for providing the special care needed during his last few weeks.
A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Norman’s name to a charitable organization.
